The Cool Docks, located on the bund in Shanghai, has become one of the most famous names in Shanghai. Covering an area of about 16,000 square meters, the former Shanghai oil factory was transformed into a fashionable commercial landmark. Now the old wharf was upgraded again in 2019. In this second renewal, architects, influenced by the "porosity theory", transformed the park into a sponge with infinite potential, with boundaries but with openings, and the interior and exterior became more organic, creating endless possibilities for the activities of urban residents.
