This design assignment is part of the West Lake upgrading project. Our mission is to turn a Song Dynasty style building with a gross area of 16.5㎡ into a Han Nationality Clothes exhibition and experience place. Our design context, the world heritage, West Lake, carrying her poetic and picturesque meaning from the ancient times is involving into the city's mundane life. So do the Han clothes culture, it is not only the revival of the traditional culture, but also an important part of contemporary pop culture. So we agreed on designing something interweaving with both ancient and contemporary.
