It was on request that the design of the house must reflect and express the client's personality and cultural background. The bold red staircase act as the "red carpet" from the busy city life towards the very zen place on the second floor. Western art is being used on the ground floor to represent where she was raised and Chinese and Asian art is used on the second floor to represent her race.
