Shimao Plaza is located in Longquan, Chengdu, China and 15km from the center of city. The GFA is approximately 125,000 sqm. Longquan is a well-known leisure destination. High-density developments are eroding local leisure environment during the urbanization. Therefore, the intention of the design is to retain a building full of leisure and Chengdu "laziness" lifestyle in a rapidly developing area. The building form responds to the terrain, and forms multi-level indoor and outdoor spaces. And its facade responds to the Sichuan bamboo weaving technics.
