A new swimming pool and pool house are set on a scenic 70-acre Connecticut gentleman’s farm which serves as a weekend retreat for a Manhattan family. The pool house takes it cues from the surrounding historic barns of the property, interpreting them in a more contemporary vocabulary. The simple classic salt-box form is clad in silver weathered siding and punctuated by crisp contemporary copper overhangs. The building is designed to blur the line between interior and exterior, with fully retractable glass panels facing the pool.
