Treehouse seeks to respond to both the immediate context of the adjacent park and the broader suburb of West End - a well-established inner-city neighbourhood, rich in landscape and modest residential dwellings. The interior spaces are an extension the humble idea of communing over a front garden and the iconic Australian backyard – this is done in a modest way using conventional building methodologies and considered detailing to ensure affordability relative to the construction budget and market.
