YuQiang & Partners takes the four ancient houses of Wenchang, Song's ancestral home, Xibei Academy and other historical and cultural heritages as the blueprint, and integrates them into the layout of the multi-interior courtyard of the local house architecture, making the interior unique and culturally rich. The hollow ceramic tiles separate the residents from the peripheral traffic. The hollow nature of the tiles keeps the space from being confined and creates a three-dimensional interaction. The public area is mostly in the original wood vernacular, with an earthy rustic visual feel.
