The 280 sq. m house for an elderly couple in Repino, ex Kuokkala. We kept the history of the place, being inspired by traditional Finnish architecture and Karelian landscapes. The architecture results from the site’s topography: the house is recessed as much as possible flush with the landscape while taking into account small differences in a predominantly flat area so that water does not flow onto the terraces. The used materials are stone, wood, and metal. The house harmoniously fits into natural surroundings due to well-thought architectonics.
