From urban planning to sectioned compound structures, the design is based on Eastern philosophy and aesthetics to outline a traditional layout of being on a central axis and enclosed all around, constructing a structure of three sections on an axis. The central-axis symmetry manifests such values as order, harmony, openness, and aspiring sturdiness. Contemporary methodology and practicality combined, it serves to embody the underlying philosophy and aesthetics of integrating Buddhism and Daoism, as well as harmonization of humans and Heaven inherent in Chinese traditional architecture.
