Design of the art center is a new experiment to achieve the mutual complement of building and mountain landscape through the integration of building and natural mountain environment with pure design skills. The design concept is setting sail to thousand miles away and embrace the river. The highest point of the mountain close to the river has been chosen for the art center to take advantage of its dramatic elevation change like that of a cliff. The building is like a “yacht” concisely outlined with curved lines and the scene of it diving into the river offers a great visual impact.
