Our project is an ode to the ephemerality of Architecture. The lobby shows walls bowed, willingly caving into wind’s pressure. They splay radially, dislodged, decomposing, merely echoes of a previously flat, straight wall. The once supple white plaster, now brittle, cracks and breaks off to expose a wooden, skeletal underbelly. The atrium is a lofty attempt to hold back the elements. Sense the stubborn tenacity of the banyan tree, dropping roots from high branches, penetrating through the high ceiling in hopes of securing an earthly foothold in anticipation of the wind’s wrath.
