Live green! Visitors spiral up the modern steel and glass dome capping Berlin's historic Reichstag building. With a central cone of mirrors, the dome is a source of natural light and ventilation for the net-zero building, which runs on renewable energy. It was designed by architect Norman Foster and built by Waagner-Biro to symbolize the reunification of Germany. The distinctive appearance of the dome has made it a prominent landmark in the city.
