In a city as densely populated as Hong Kong, the provision of breathing space is critical to our social well-being. The Breakwater Pavilion invites people to stop for a moment, contemplate, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the harbour. The Word Art challenges conventional design, by crafting pockets of intimate spaces with a gigantic hollow mesh lettering design to enable people from all walks of life to enjoy the installation in ways that suit their fantasies. The East Coast Park Precinct has since become one of the most inclusive, user engaging and enabling public spaces in Hong Kong.
