Tea is the main inspiration of this special project. The Chinese character “ Enter”; 入； is transformed into a pictograph of a bird’s eye view of the building. The outer frame of the character is a multi-layered wall full of tea Zen context designed with parameters. Hot air can flow freely between the old and new walls to effectively reduce interior temperature. For the exterior look, local “Penghu sand” was used. This sand has small pores that can absorb sound and solar heat, and can effectively block the northeast monsoon.
