The Oran Olympic Complex hosted the 19th Mediterranean games in July 2022. 26 Nations disputed track and field events in the 40,000-seat stadium, swimming in the nautical stadium, and court sports in the 7000-seat indoor arena. The 80he site is organized along one of Oran’s principal axes where a public ‘ramblas’ is designed to connect the different venues that nestle into the natural topographies as would an antique Greco-Roman city. The three distinct venues share a common architectural vocabulary that is both simple and sophisticated with the interweaving tubular structure and gold cladding
