ClientAkbari family

In ancient architecture and urban design of Isfahan, two concepts were common. One was Sibe(the semi-public gated dead-end),surrounded by houses accommodating relatives, and the other was courtyards(the semi-private space),surrounded by rooms housing a family. The Sibe and courtyard gave people the sky and gathered them together under it.Being together was our client's requirement. So, we integrated those ancient concepts into our design BY defining a central courtyard, placing the staircase within it, and opening terraces to it. Like the Sibe, the courtyard and stairs are a place for interaction.
