An Architecture School located in an old student dormitory building presented challenges to tangible spatial quality. Students and faculty avoided the building due to it lacked aesthetics, pride, sociability, and activities. A group of motivated students and faculty initiated a grass-roots remodeling project, by raising funds from university and alumni, reprogramming, developing design proposals, preparing construction documents, and inspecting the construction. The design team strived to optimize this unfriendly place to a campus destination.
