In terms of volumetrics, 1500 Métivier St. is a metaphorical hyphen linking all the nearby buildings. Its smooth, transparent façades have a timeless sculptural quality, contrasting with the architectural vocabulary of the neighbouring buildings. In this project, particular attention was given to the composition and movement of the façades, featuring alternating opaque and transparent zones. The building parallels a slight bend in the street, giving the building a distinctive character – an unquestionably unusual feature for a commercial building of this size.
