The low entrance, embodying the Japanese aesthetic sense of scale, accentuates the spaciousness of the lobby. By repeating uniform design elements throughout the facility, we strove to convey a strong visual impression of the space to the visitors. The gabled-roofed guest rooms clustered around the hotel structure evoke a sense of nostalgia. Each guest room has a relaxed feel thanks to the high triangular ceiling. While enclosed in a walled garden for privacy, every guest room with an open-air bath is surrounded by trees and the clear sky of Tokachi. And there flows a serene stream of time.
