Lavra's Home

The House of Lavra starts from an ordinary and anonymous reality, like so many scattered constructions in the Portuguese territory. Without history or tradition, without heritage or connection to the place, a simple pedestal where a volume devoid of architectural intention rested, surrounded by a garden with scattered trees... Rehabilitating the structure was an initial act of faith which, after reflection, turned into pure rationality: reinventing the construction, opening it up to the surrounding nature, allowing the garden to enter, and configuring the uniqueness.
