WSECU is a distinctive brick office building, housing community rooms and retail spaces. Driven by scale, texture, and transparency, it employs innovative structural solutions to a confined site. By challenging zoning norms, we placed the typically front-facing office entry on a secondary cross street, making space for vibrant activity on the main arterial, with a public-facing living room, community room, and retail space, enhanced by mahogany storefronts. A concrete ribbon sculpting up a six-story glass-lantern corner reacts to the energy of the busy intersection, shaping the street approach
