The University Activity Centre is part of a new campus in China for a Hong Kong-based university. As such, its role is central in providing a space of community and restoration for the students. The UAC connects the academic and residential parts of the campus. Its green roof and organic shape contrast with the campus research buildings that are characterized by their rational layout and orthogonal lines. An open sculptural staircase animates a double-height entry, which connects two floors housing the student commons, cafeteria, recreational and wellness spaces as well as Student Services.
