Located at the Uh May City of Arts, in the dense Mayan jungle, the workshop allocates the artisans that produce unique ceramic pieces, using mineral pigments, inspired by nature and ancestral techniques. The workshop comprises five unique enclosed spaces and an atrium, designed to be toured along with the ceramic process: materials storage, offices, kneading, glazing, drying, and kiln. From pursuing integration with the environment, and enhancing the flow of materials, staff, and visitors, movements and path lines were generated to achieve the volumes and the organic aesthetics of the space.
