The library is positioned as an iconic architecture due to its location. However, the 45-meter height limitation and the limited site area constrain the architecture from stretching at horizontal and vertical directions freely. The architects thus conceive the architecture as a stable, nearly cubic volume to distinguish it from the surrounding linear buildings. Various functional spaces in the main building are integrated by the sun-shading system made of fiber reinforcement cement plates, which form a distinctive facade that resembles bookshelves and books.
