ClientLa Plaza Cultural de Armando Perez Community Garden

To avoid environmental burden of tearing down an outdated pergola in the volunteer-led La Plaza Cultural de Armando Perez Community Garden in the East Village of New York City, Pvilion has custom designed and installed a custom solar fabric membrane, clean battery kit, and rainwater capture system to the existing wooden structure. The space continues to be a social hub within the garden, and the solar fabric roof’s unique design offers an aesthetic view for guests visiting the garden as well as power and shelter for community events.
