The project researches the translation of intangible collective memory and social diversity onto tangible materiality through an architectural approach. The communal theatre, Blur, attempts to preserve and archive the social character of Elephant and Castle with its layered multi-media facade as a public interface. Instead of seeing the regeneration as a demolishing process, the project unfolds a utopian potential to blur the boundary in the segregated community and continue social interaction through immersive technology on the architectural interface.
