The Baoting Shuangda Hot Spring Resort is envisioned as a wellness retreat in the Qixianling National Forest Park. It aims to celebrate the natural heritage of the site like the rainforest, lush slopes, natural stream, hot springs, and the seven peaks of Qixianling. The concept considers the natural assets and the resort’s zen architecture to honor the peaks and express the forest’s healing properties. Various outdoor areas are oriented towards the mountain and trace a zen journey towards awakening. Existing boulders are reused in the framing of pools, as focal points, and planting areas.
