The Three Temples and One Pagoda Ancient Building Complex is situated at the intersection of East Chang'an Avenue and the Grand Canal in Beijing, and is an important cultural landmark within the Beijing Grand Canal Cultural Belt. With the ancient pagoda as the core, the building heights within the block have been effectively controlled using a circular layering, while five observation Pagoda corridors have been opened up to strengthen the integral position of the Pagoda. Special attention has been paid to the design of the Confucian Temple Square and the Archaic Rhyme Market.
