The Bridge is a modern home in the Windfields neighborhood of Toronto. Visitors approaching the home are greeted by maple and pine trees, which have been part of the neighborhood for many decades. Behind the treescape, as a neutral backdrop the house would show. The characteristic of the land was the main item that guided us through drawing the first lines. The outcome was sculpting the existing landmass to integrate this modern, simple house which has been accepted and feels like it’s being hugged by the surrounding land and natural beauty of the trees and landscape.
