This work is a reinterpretation of the technique of the panorama. In 14 photographs, I focus on that side of Bodestrasse on Berlin’s Museum Island, which connects reconstructed and modernized world cultural heritage and contemporary architecture. Each of the photographs is a picture composed in itself. Together, they appear like a sequence of buildings that would be impossible to view in reality. In early 2020 I took the first COVID shutdown as an opportunity to produce this work. Seeing this usually rather populated place in town devoid of humans was an otherworldly experience.
