This new hall seemed to suit the rain or mist. So I ventured out in the pouring rain with my Leica hoping that the camera would survive. Homerton dining hall, Cambridge is yet another amazing project by the architects Fielden Fowles. Part of the exterior is a green faience, a traditional form of handcrafted glazed ceramic tiles. This is why I chose the inclement conditions, I wanted to witness how the water fell off the building, rain down its sides and changed the tonality of the materials. A highly sustainable building designed to last over 100 years.
