CoDiNo is conceived as an extension of the neighbouring St Francis Yard of Wanchai, HK, where digital nomads coalesce to work over coffees. Tapping into this existing demographic, CoDiNo aims to provide residences for them and offer amenities shared with the neighbourhood. Angled windows act as a sundial for the digital nomads who often work in different time zones. In place of stacked layers of contiguous discontinuity, figure ground urbanism developed from the layout of Wanchai is the spatial agency behind CoDiNo. Outside of the flats, social condensers are montaged for chance discoveries.
