The Hydrobiological Station of Rhodes is a renowned research and educational institution located on the island of Rhodes in Greece. One of the oldest aquariums in Greece, the Rhodes Aquarium, an Art Deco design by the Italian architect Armando Bernabiti, was constructed between 1934 and 1935 when the Dodecanese was still under Italian rule. It is dedicated to the study and conservation of marine life in the Aegean Sea and the broader Mediterranean region. It serves as a hub for scientific research, conducting studies on marine biodiversity, ecology, and conservation.
