The Orb is a nimble pavilion located on the Google campus in Mountain View, California which marks a point of engagement for both Google employees and the wider public. Designed by Marc Fournes / THEVERYMANY using computational design protocols, the acrobatic 10m high shell creates an intricate puzzle of shadow and light. From within, the viewer is provided an opportunity to wander visually around the organic forms, figuring out the unfamiliar space, finding unique perspectives at every turn.
