"Traveler's Earthen Floor" is designed with the scenery of a traditional earthen floor that evokes a non-daily, "away from home" feeling. Instead of just at the entrance, the act of taking off shoes is extended to the living room, which is designed like an earthen floor, before stepping up to a tiered Japanese-style room like a veranda. This arrangement allows you to savor the "luxury of taking off one's shoes." Furthermore, a large, sun-drenched atrium reveals a sturdy, exposed beam that creates a dynamic view when you look up, giving the home a sense of outdoor openness while you are inside.
