“What can we do creatively with all existing concrete, except crushing them into rubbles?” - in other words: What are the design languages of salvaged concrete? Upcycling deconstructed or demolished concrete pieces is an action of appropriation that requires a methodology of “work with what you have”. One must embrace spontaneity and chance. This particular project guides architects as bricoleurs – improvises based on the available resources, drawing on a diverse range of objects, debris and fragments; tools and materials come first before the project; perception and imagination as creeds.
