Aiming to rebuild Hong Kong’s trust in farmed sea fish, Zenthos combines production and pedagogy in its farm-to-table experience, combining fish farm, lab, cooking school, café and resource corner. Conceived in a tidalectic framework, Zenthos embraces the environment as a system in flux, mediating land and ocean. One access closes at tidal threshold, echoing the precarity of aquatic health. Visitors move in mediated Z paths under scrim fountain roofs, like benthos in the sea’s dynamic shadows. The lab, the most private program, is ironically glass encased to signal transparency to build trust.
