This project reimagines festival spaces by integrating cultural narratives and decorative elements centered on the Qingming Festival, a historic Song Dynasty celebration. It uses Along the River During Qingming Festival as a blueprint, exploring folding and layering techniques in a folding journal. The approach is applied to Tai Kwun, Hong Kong, adapting traditional decorations to the site’s architecture. The final folding board connects historical festival elements with a modern context, aiming to engage cultural institutions and the public through immersive spatial experiences.
