This project is a study of geometric and mathematical underpinning of Islamic architecture and its ornament. We aim to design a contemporary Arabesque museum in Dubai to combine modern elements with Arabesque work and create novel spaces and experiences that are both functional and awe-inspiring by using a new way of continuous connection between units consisting of solids and voids. The carvings and bending techniques are allowing soft indirect sunlight to filter into the exhibition spaces, creating interesting and unique lighting and illumination effects.
