PrayaEdge combines a public space, a library and an exhibition venue under an environmental theme for HK’s Kennedy Town and beyond. It offers photogenic public spaces and immersive exhibitions, but visitors’ experience is defamiliarised - rubbish floats at the water edge where they dip their feet, or waste materials make their way into artistic installations. All accumulate to a wake-up call on the urgency to save our planet, and part of the antidote is demonstrated by PrayaEdge, which draws on its location to run on tidal energy and desalinated water via in-house systems.
