This series shows Hong Kong's Cheung Shan Estate during the annual Mid-Autumn Festival, where local residents put up colourful paper lanterns arranged geometrically across levels to celebrate a time of family reunion and as a tribute to the moon. The exterior facades seen from the atrium shows flats closely packed together typical in Hong Kong's architecture, but in a time limited edition. This unique tradition is known to be initiated by a heart-warming resident to please his wife. From a look-up photo, the viewer can see the geometric layout of the lanterns, with a paper moon at the centre.
