The design of West Lake University responds to the needs of different scales, with the campus featuring a series of concentric rings: the academic ring, water ring, and living ring. These concentric rings organize the campus both in physical and conceptual terms. Each building is composed of interlocking rectangular glass volumes and prefabricated concrete frames, adorned with unique color decorations and custom vertical frame patterns. The articulated courtyard buildings, resembling beads on a string, are arranged along the academic ring to encourage interdisciplinary exchange.
