SITE Santa Fe is a contemporary art space in the Railyard Arts District. The 2017 renovation by SHoP Architects transformed the museum with a new lobby, flexible galleries, and a striking perforated-aluminum entrance. In photographing the building, I chose to leave telephone poles and wires in the composition. While often removed in architectural photography, here they reflect the industrial character of the district and emphasize the dialogue between the art space and its setting.
