Threading the needle?

In Feb 2025, I travelled to Dubai/UAE hoping to photograph the Burj Khalifa-an architectural marvel and the world's tallest skyscraper, during the full moon. The setting moon presented the best opportunity, but mornings in Dubai tend to be cloudy and foggy that time of the year. Ample planning and a generous serving of luck helped pull off this endeavor.  The Burj Khalifa and it's spire symbolize a needle stitching together the earth and moon, bringing the celestial within reach. A thick blanket of clouds with a moonlit top fill the bottom half of the frame, adding mood and atmosphere.
