Zhoushan is located at the estuary of the East China Sea and has more than 1,390 islands. It is known as the "City of a Thousand Islands" and is China's first city established with an archipelago as its administrative division. The landscape design of Zhoushan New Town involves various carriers such as cross-sea bridges, mountains, roads, parks, squares, bays, and buildings. The design aims to "enhance urban vitality and create a garden city on the sea."
