Kampung Sayang (by CDG Architects, Singapore) is an expanded architecture of an old family home. The photography not only captures the architecture in its complete form, but also expresses the marriage between old and new worlds -- especially in the demolition-heavy culture of Singapore. Its newness serves practical reasons, but is aesthetically juxtaposed with elements of the old. In their contrast, the atmosphere of the equator acts as a glue; a contextual constant that permeates through the growth of the family, the neighbourhood, and the city they live in.
