Carisbrooke is an inner city multi-family project by DAAS Architecture in the Sunnyside neighbourhood of Calgary, Ab, Canada. The biggest architectural question for housing in Calgary today is how to provide typologies of residential housing that can be more affordable and sustainable than traditional single family suburban developments, but also provide more space and amenities than typical high-density apartment development. A larger side setback and distinct material palette reinforce Carisbrooke as a new architectural take on this problem and open up opportunities for images like this.
