Co-designed by the Oval Partnership and HK Timberbank, this art piece is made from salvaged wood of a 400-year-old camphor tree in Hong Kong. Upcycled, it exudes a calming fragrance and showcases the tree's annual rings, subtly blending sustainability with storytelling. The sculptural form was created using 3D scanning and hand-milled, asymmetrical designs that highlight heartwood patterns, evoking the flow of a lady's dancing hemline. This process minimises wood waste and lowers carbon emissions, making the piece beautiful and eco-friendly while conserving resources and reducing deforestation.
