Rowen House leaves room for different families to make the house their own. Designed for a speculative market with no client brief and no known future occupant, the house responds to the uncertainty of future occupation by offering a range of spaces with different qualities of light, privacy and openness. Instead of assuming how the house should be lived in, the design provides a framework that can support different routines, personalities and stages of family life over time.Height, daylight and proportioned spaces become the tools for creating the sense of openness and allowing possibilities.
