Cookpad, a global technology company operating one of the world’s largest recipe-sharing platforms, relocated its office and transformed three floors of an existing building into a new workplace. Rather than a conventional upgrade, the company sought an environment where daily work could generate shared moments and encounters. The design centres on a kitchen as a catalyst for informal exchange, allowing people and activities to overlap within routines. Contrasting spatial conditions create degrees of openness and distance, enabling relationships and organisational culture to evolve over time.
